U-space high on the agenda at Germany’s Drone Days this month

The annual Drone Days event will take place in Germany later this month.

Drone Days 2026 will take place at Bremen Airport (August 26) and the UAS German Flight Center at Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield (August 27–28).

Interested parties will gather to discuss current challenges facing the UAS industry, as well as future projects and potential collaborations. The event will include presentations and discussions, an exhibition with around 75 participants, and live demonstrations at Oldenburg-Hatten Airfield.

Panel discussions will include the topics of regulation and U-space within the national framework. Panel members, including the European Association for Unmanned Aviation’s head of advisory committee, Michael Wieland, will discuss the specific changes required to replace lengthy approval processes with economically sustainable regular operation.
