Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. has received a sole source prime contract award for the production of a ground-based modular space domain awareness system. The contract is valued at approximately USD 100 million.
Kratos has developed, tested and demonstrated the space domain awareness system, which will now enter production.
Meanwhile, L3Harris Technologies has received a contract from the United States Space Force’s Space Development Agency to produce 18 Accelerated Missile Defense Tranche 3 satellites to support the Golden Dome programme for US space-based capabilities.
L3Harris will immediately begin manufacturing for delivery and launch of these tactical payloads. The company currently has more than 70 missile tracking and defence satellites on order, including five on orbit.
