The GUAMobility consortium has been awarded the mandate to lead the national Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) strategy of Oman, in line with the Oman Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
According to GUAMobility consortium partner Innovitech:
“Led by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Oman Logistics Center (OLC), this program aims to guide the gradual integration of drones and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft into Omani airspace. Priority use cases include passenger transport, freight logistics, emergency medical services, search and rescue, infrastructure inspection, security operations, and oil and gas operations.”
The programme is managed by a national steering committee chaired by Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT). This committee brings together key players in the Omani ecosystem, including the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Oman Airports, the Oman Logistics Center, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, as well as several security and investment entities.

- DTA International — architecture, urban planning and engineering agency (airport, port and urban infrastructure);
