Netherlands to send two air defence systems to Poland to protect NATO logistics

The Netherlands is sending two Patriot air defence systems to Poland. The systems and approximately 300 military personnel will protect the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) logistics centre from December 1, 2025 to June 1, 2026.

The systems to be supplied are integrated units comprising three different capabilities. In addition to both Patriots, it includes a NASAMS air defence system and counter-drone systems. NSATU coordinates and facilitates the training of Ukrainian soldiers and provides military support to the country. Military equipment donated to Ukraine by NATO countries must reach its destination safely. Air defence helps NSATU to carry out these activities.
