TruWeather launches micro weather forecast app for drone and eVTOL operators

TruWeather has announced the launch of its V360 Mobile App, giving drone and eVTOL operators “real-time, field-ready companion for on-the-go decision-making.”  The app features colour-coded risk assessments so operators can instantly understand if conditions are favorable for flight; customizable parameters, so operators can configure their dashboard to show the weather metrics most important to specific operations; and hyperlocal conditions, allowing operators to see weather conditions specific to their exact location, not just the nearest airport or city.

Other features include:

  • 144-hour extended forecasts – Plan missions up to six days in advance with detailed hourly predictions
  • Flight window identification – Identify optimal time periods for safe and efficient drone operations
  • Risk assessment indicators – User-defined weather thresholds and visual cues to quickly assess operational risk

The app uses data “based on our exclusive network of 50,000+ sensors combined with aviation weather reports in one intuitive interface,” says the company.
