Dedrone and Thales Australia collaborate on vehicle-mounted C-UAS

Dedrone by Axon has partnered with Thales Australia to collaborate on counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology, including a vehicle-mounted system designed to detect, track, identify, and mitigate (DTI-M) Group 1-3 UAS threats while On-The-Move (OTM).

The partnership integrates DedroneOTM, a mobile C-UAS DTI-M system, with Thales Australia’s tactical protected mobility vehicles (PMV). Thales’ Bushmaster PMV will be integrated with Dedrone’s passive radio frequency (RF) detection sensors powered by DedroneTracker.AI, for airspace awareness and drone threat mitigation.

Through testing conducted near Thales Australia’s Bendigo, Victoria facility, Dedrone and Thales have successfully demonstrated the ability to detect, track, identify and mitigate Group 1 and 2 UAS from various drone manufacturers while OTM in the Thales Bushmaster PMV. This new partnership adds an extra layer of protection for military personnel. The C-UAS solution can be easily retrofitted to any PMV already in service.
