US Marine Corps issues request for information for C-UAS interceptors

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS), Program Manager (PM) for Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit potential solutions from industry on Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) interceptors to defeat Groups 1, 2, and 3 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) as defined in Annex C of the Department of Defense Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Strategy (https://media.defense.gov/2021/Jan/07/2002561080/-1/-1/0/DEPARTMENT-OF-DEFENSECOUNTER-SMALL-UNMANNED-AIRCRAFT-SYSTEMS-STRATEGY.pdf).

According to the RFI text:

“The potential solutions should provide increased lethality and range of defeat for the GBAD Future Weapons Systems (FWS) Increment 1 (Inc 1) Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) program of record, hereafter referred to as MADIS. The requirement may include the following: integration, testing, production, and optional maintenance support.

“This RFI constitutes market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 and is not an RFP. USMC is issuing this RFI, in support of PEO LS, to determine what vendor(s) have the capability to provide the support described herein.”
