The Aviation Subcommittee of the United States Transportation and Infrastructure House Committee will hold a hearing this week to examine the existing federal counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS) authorities that permit certain federal agencies to detect and mitigate unauthorised or unlawful UAS operations. The hearing will also discuss potential extensions and expansion of those authorities.
The event will be held at 10:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building, Capitol Hill, Washington DC.
Dr. Catherine Cahill, Ph.D., Director, the Alaska Center for UAS Integration, University of Alaska Fairbanks; Lisa Ellman, Executive Director, Commercial Drone Alliance; and Chris McLaughlin, Executive Vice President of Operations, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will provide witness testimony.
