Spain’s air safety agency (AESA) has granted authorisation to Pegasus Aero Group to operate uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) at the Fuerteventura Technology Park.
The authorisation pertains to a vertical take-off fixed-wing UAS with a wingspan of more than three metres.
Pegasus will fly its UAS at the park as part of the ISSEC research and development initiative. ISSEC will carry out command and control operations and receive real-time data from sensors onboard UAS and HAPS platforms to support a number of missions including biodiversity, hospital logistics and security.
