GUTMA elects new board of directors for 2020-2022

Members of the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) have elected the new 2020-2022 board of directors, which includes two co-presidents and representatives from: air navigation service provider, regulatory bodies, telecom, information and aviation industries both large and small.

The new board comprises:

  • Reinaldo Negron (Wing) Co-President
  • Sebastian Babiarz (Airmap) Co-President
  • Lorenzo Murzilli – Treasurer Swiss FOCA
  • Matt Fanelli (Skyward)
  • Amit Ganjoo (ANRA Technologies)
  • Manu Lubrano (INVOLI)
  • Michelle Bennetts (Airservices Australia)
  • Rob Eagles (Airbus)
  • Shinji Nakadai (NEC)

The board will serve a two-year term of office, focusing on furthering work in open source technical solutions of interoperability in various aspects of UTM and ATM, developing new partnerships with mobile network operators, aviation industry bodies and extending the reach of GUTMA activities into the wider UAS community, regulatory and standards organisations.

GUTMA’s core mission, purpose and goals are to:

  • Support and accelerate the transparent implementation of globally interoperable UTM
  • Foster the safe, secure, efficient and affordable integration of drones in national airspace systems
  • Empower a harmonized global digital UTM ecosystem
  • Enable more than ATM
  • Become a trusted source for UTM data and ideas – a knowledge repository
