Eurocae signs MoU with general aviation manufacturers to speed implementation of new technologies

European standards agency Eurocae and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have agreed to work together on developing aviation industry standards. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) enables the two organisations to address issues such as hybrid electric propulsion, VTOL and cyber security, and will speed up the implementation of new technologies.

The Memorandum of Understanding provides a framework for cooperation between the two organisations. These include exchanging information, sharing expertise and best practices, and cross-participation in working groups. As a first step, GAMA joined Eurocae as Full Member earlier in 2020 in recognition of the efforts of both organisations to enhance aviation and promote strong cooperation in developing industry standards.

GAMA is already actively involved in the EUROCAE Working Group on VTOL and will join other working groups in the future.

The collaboration is not intended to replace the individual contribution of EUROCAE and GAMA member organisations to EUROCAE and GAMA activities, but rather to encourage their respective members to strengthen their engagement in the work of EUROCAE and GAMA.
