Claudia Bacco joins Unmanned Airspace as Contributing Editor

Leveraging more than eight years in the airspace traffic management industry, Claudia will become a contributing editor across our publications. She brings a unique view to our topics having also spent time in her career working in telecommunications and technology companies that address IP communications, cybersecurity and blockchain. All technologies that will play an increasing role to progress uncrewed aviation and air mobility to reach their potential in the sky.

In addition, she spends quite a bit of time mentoring and advising startups across a multitude of technologies. Startups will be a cornerstone of new innovation required to bring our key topics to market in the future and we plan to incorporate some of these new innovations into her coverage.

“Delighted that Claudia is joining the Unmanned Airspace team,” said Phil Butterworth-Hayes, Editorial Director. “We will be expanding our editorial coverage over the next few months to go wider and deeper into the UTM, C-UAS and AAM markets. We are on the edge of serious commercialisation of low-level airspace.”

Claudia added, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with Phil and his team on a closer basis. The innovations and fast pace at which these new airspace entrants are moving always keeps things interesting. It’s a chance to learn something new in every conversation!”

Stay tuned to hear from Claudia as a regular contributor addressing start-up challenges and opportunities.
