EASA publishes a means of compliance for Special ‘light UAS’ for consultation

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published for consultation a means of compliance (MoC) that will allow demonstration of the safety of design of a drone through a Functional Test based approach.
This will increase flexibility by allowing drones manufacturers to use the in-service experience accumulated by its fleet instead of demonstrating compliance by designing the drone using standards.

The Proposed Means of Compliance to Special Condition Light UAS for UAS operated in SAIL III and below “FTB MOC SC Light-UAS” – Issue 01 is available here.

The deadline for comments is 4 April 2022.
