Spanish air navigation service provider releases mobile app to plan UAS flights

Spanish air navigation service provider ENAIRE has released a mobile Android app to enable drone operators to plan UAS flights against Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) geographical zones in Spain in accordance with the currently applicable framework, Royal Decree 1036/2017.

ENAIRE requires drone operators and RPAS pilots, whether a professional or amateur enthusiast, to safely plan their flights.

ENAIRE has carried out various trials to integrate drones into controlled airspace, it has participated in RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) meetings and projects as part of the European Union’s SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) programme, as well as being an active member of the Global UTM Association (GUTMA).
