L3Harris receives three-year contract for C-sUAS interceptor development

L3Harris Technologies has received a three-year contract, valued at up to USD 60 million, to develop a long-range, manoeuvrable interceptor for the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center Xtended Range Counter-sUAS Missile programme.

Designed to counter small- to medium-size uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) as well as traditional Short Range Air Defence threats, L3Harris is in the project’s second phase for flight performance testing with the fully integrated interceptor.

L3Harris is also developing its counter-sUAS capability for compatibility with existing US military platforms to rapidly integrate into current operational architectures.
