Intelic connects sensors and interceptor drone in Latvia C-UAS field test

Intelic has participated in a counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) field test with European partners in Latvia. The test connected multiple sensors, command-and-control platforms, an interceptor drone and multiple effectors through a single software orchestration platform. The company said the test demonstrated how systems from different vendors can work together.

Rather than treating each system as a standalone capability, Intelic’s NEXUS was used as the connecting platform. “When a sensor detected an airborne object, that information was instantly brought into the NEXUS operational picture,” Intelic explained in a 20 October press release. “From there, commanders could identify relevant threats, correlate and assess their track, and initiate the response towards operators directly through the platform, without the need for radio communication. Thus, the test demonstrated a software loop in which information from sensors could quickly task an interceptor.”

NEXUS can be used to connect a mixed-vendor uncrewed fleet to the existing intelligence, battle management and shooter ecosystem, and additionally enable the tactical tasking and communication loop those systems do not provide on their own.
