Spain is tendering for flight operations, development of data processing applications and management of the AGAMENON project, which aims to monitor and prevent irregular immigration using uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
The Technology Park of Fuerteventura, which leads the project alongside the Spanish National Police and other partners, is looking to contract a comprehensive flight operation service for medium and/or high-altitude UAS platforms with persistent flight and onboard sensors, as well as the development of data processing applications.
According to a notice posted on the European Union tendering portal TED on 12 October, AGAMENON will use the infrastructure at Canarias Stratoport in Fuerteventura for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations throughout the Canary Islands region.
