French consultancy firm Global Urban Air Mobility (GUAMobility) has launched its second mission in the Sultanate of Oman as part of the development of the National Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Strategy.
“Following an initial phase focused on strategic alignment and stakeholder mobilisation, this second mission moves to the heart of the strategy development process: listening, exchanging, gathering data and testing the proposed strategic directions against the Sultanate’s operational realities,” GUAMobility said in a LinkedIn post.
Seven workshops dedicated to consultation, dialogue and data collection are scheduled throughout September at the Civil Aviation Authority in Muscat. These will cover AAM companies, use-case prioritisation, urban planning, training and competency development, regulation, safety, security, airspace management and uncrewed traffic management, and investment, financing and public-private partnerships.
The aim is to gather the data, needs, constraints and priorities of authorities, operators and economic stakeholders to support the development of the national roadmap and prepare the next stages of AAM deployment in Oman.
