The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has updated the agenda for the 2026 EASA Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) Implementation Forum, taking place on 27–28 October 2026 at EASA Headquarters in Cologne and online.
“Under the theme “From rules to reality: accelerating Innovative Air Mobility in Europe,” the second edition of the Forum will bring together authorities, industry, technical experts and the wider IAM community to focus on the practical implementation of Innovative Air Mobility in Europe,” EASA said. “Two years after the first Forum, the conversation has moved forward. Europe now has more experience of putting the regulatory framework into practice, new technologies and services are progressing towards operation, and important lessons are emerging from early implementation.”
The event’s programme is structured around three main areas, U-space, VTOL and UAS – with panels, workshops and interactive discussions exploring some of the key questions facing the sector.
Topics include U-space simplification, eVTOL certification and entry into service, BVLOS and cross-border UAS operations, automation and safety, as well as lessons from organisations already putting the regulatory framework into practice.
