L3Harris Technologies said yesterday (27 August) that it collaborated with ARX Robotics UK during the US Army’s Project Convergence-Capstone 6, to demonstrate how robotic mobility can extend the reach of counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) sensing. The experimentation campaign focused on evaluating emerging technologies and future operational concepts.
L3Harris mounted its CORVUS-RAVEN system, which passively detects signals associated with potential drone threats and provides bearing information, directly on an ARX uncrewed ground vehicle.
The collaboration explored how operators could extend passive sensing into forward or hazardous areas, without extending risk to personnel.
L3Harris said that lessons learned from Project Convergence-Capstone 6, which took place at the end of July, will inform future development regarding C-UAS and robotic systems integration.
