The European Commission is inviting citizens and stakeholders to support the progress review of the Drone Strategy 2.0 by sharing their views on the future of Europe’s drone ecosystem.
Since strategy was adopted in November 2022, the global drone and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft landscape has evolved significantly. The progress review will assess the implementation and continued relevance of the strategy.
Two complementary consultations are now open until 6 September 2026.
- Citizens are encouraged to participate in the open public consultation, sharing their views on the use of drones, including any benefits, concerns and expectations they perceive regarding their role in society.
- Stakeholders including manufacturers, operators, service providers, financing institutions and public authorities are invited to complete the stakeholder survey, providing technical and market perspectives to support the Commission in its assessment.
The evidence gathered through both consultations will contribute to the progress review of the Drone Strategy 2.0 and help inform future policy development for the European drone sector.
