CACI International Inc has been awarded a contract by the Unites States defence department to deploy the SkyValor drone defence system at the US southern border. The deployment is expected to support a broader national security effort to counter the growing threat of hostile drones and strengthen homeland defence.
SkyValor will be provided as a transportable drone defence system that can be deployed rapidly. The system combines sensing and automated defeat capabilities to find, track and stop hostile drones, including cellular-enabled drones.
The SkyValor system recently joined a JIATF‑401 evaluation at US Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
