Ukraine’s Brave 1 tech platform reports “high potential of US startup Surtr’s C-UAS system”

In an X post, Ukraine’s Brave 1 platform – created by the Government of Ukraine to promote collaboration between all stakeholders of the defence tech industry – reports it has tested an FPV drone detection solution from the US startup Surtr as a part of the Test in Ukraine program.

“Thanks to AI-powered technology, data from acoustic and optical sensors is instantly combined into a single picture of the battlefield,” said the commentary “As a result, the system detects and calculates the coordinates of aerial targets with minimum latency…Despite harsh weather conditions the technology showed high potential. Ukrainian military operators provided feedback to adapt the system to real combat. Future outlook: integration with strike systems to protect vehicles, UGVs or stationary assets.”
