Dutch drone target acquisition system tested in Ukraine

Fiducial Defense of the Netherlands has conducted a successful demonstration of autonomous air-to-air interceptions alongside the Brave1 defence technology consortium in Ukraine.

As part of a joint cooperation between Fiducial and RTT Group, an automatic target guidance system based on computer vision was integrated into the Ukrainian Wovkulaka Spitfire interceptor drone. The Brave1 consortium said in a LinkedIn post that the system demonstrated high efficiency in detecting, tracking and automatically intercepting aerial targets.

The system is currently being scaled up and expanded for operational use directly on the battlefield. The next steps include integration with other Ukrainian interception systems and further improvement of performance in real combat conditions.
