High Lander has been selected to provide UTM technology at the Secure Autonomy Feedback and Evaluation Test Bed (SAFE-T) initiative at the Skyway Range in Tulsa, Oklahoma. High Lander will deploy its Vega UTM platform at this federally recognized Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) testing environment to provide advanced airspace management and a central hub enabling interoperability of diverse airspace participants, said the companies in a press release.
The Skyway Range initiative, a 114-nautical-mile flight corridor, is a flagship initiative of the Tulsa Tech Hub, a federally designated Economic Development Administration Tech Hub led by Tulsa Innovation Labs and managed by meerir.

The SAFE-T UTM accelerator programme involves a competitive selection process where UTM providers operate simultaneously within the Skyway Range environment. High Lander, alongside fellow participants AirWise Solutions and OneSky, will demonstrate the full stack of UTM capabilities including coordination of flight planning and strategic deconfliction, conformance monitoring and real time interoperability between different UTM providers.
Specifically, High Lander will deploy its UTM and Discovery and Synchronization Service (DSS) services at the site. This will provide an interface for flight plan submission and contingency management enabling commercial UAS operations while maintaining safety with conformance monitoring and real-time deconfliction. These systems will also be integrated with SAFE-T’s radar feeds, ADS-B and weather data, ensuring the highest levels of airspace safety.
High Lander’s Vega UTM is an autonomous software solution that provides total airspace awareness for both crewed and uncrewed aerial activity.
