Lockheed Martin tests missile against UAS

Lockheed Martin has successfully tested a 90-degree launch of a Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) from the JAGM Quad Launcher (JQL) during a demonstration in China Lake, California.

“In the demonstration, JAGM proved its ability to neutralise UAS threat systems,” Lockheed Martin said in a January 15 press statement.

The company said that the demonstration validated JAGM’s full vertical‑launch capability across multiple platforms, including surface‑combatant vessels.

The missile has now demonstrated its ability to detect, track and neutralise hostile threats including drones, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and other air threats.
