Manna refused permission for new Dublin delivery hub

The Irish Times and other national media have reported that Manna Air Delivery has been refused permission to retain a drone delivery hub in west Dublin.

Manna had been providing food deliveries from the hub, reports say, but a planning enforcement notice from Fingal County Council ruled it was an “unauthorised development”.

Objectors to the plan cited noise and privacy concerns. The development had however received support from local businesses. Manna has said it will appeal to An Coimisiún Pleanál, which is an independent body that decides on appeals from planning decisions made by local authorities in Ireland.

“The decision does not impact the company’s existing drone hub near the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, for which the company was already granted permission,” The Irish Times stated.
