TEKEVER has acquired West Wales Airport (WWA) in Aberporth as a hub for uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) testing and evaluation operations. The company says the airport will provide it and its partners with access to 2,500 square miles of restricted airspace over land and sea.
TEKEVER has operated at WWA since 2023 and says the site has been central to its research and development efforts. The airport’s facilities have also supported test flights for customers including the UK Home Office and Royal Navy.
Under TEKEVER’s ownership, WWA will be expanded into a national hub for the testing and evaluation of UAS.”This site will be made accessible to UK government stakeholders, allied partners and industry collaborators,” the company said.
