UrbanV has formed a new collaboration with ENAV’s Techno Sky to carry out advanced drone flights over critical transportation infrastructures such as railway lines and major roads, within the framework of the Rome Fiumicino Airport sandbox.
The project focuses on flying drone operations safely above rail and road corridors in the airport proximity and demonstrating high safety standards required for future use cases, including medical transport. In addition, the flights will help explore how drones can support public services and improve connectivity where infrastructure is limited.
Earlier this month, UrbanV announced a partnership with another ENAV company, D-Flight, as well as SIS 118, for the launch of the Sanitary Emergency Urban Air Mobility (SEUAM) project in Italy.
