The Association for Unmanned Aviation (UAV DACH) has created a ground infrastructure competence group. The group will explore practical standards for vertiports and take-off and landing areas for uncrewed aircraft systems.
“Drones shape our everyday lives in many ways and they will do so on an even greater scale in both rural and urban areas in the future,” UAV DACH said. “This requires not only the creation of a practical economic and regulatory framework, but also concrete action regarding the technical and physical infrastructure.”
The new competence group of experts will be led by Benjamin Spiske of BATT Suisse GmbH. One of the group’s first projects is to develop a white paper on a holistic, long-term Advanced Air Mobility strategy for Germany and Europe.
