Slovak defence ministry establishes drone geozones “as a first step to UTM”

The Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic has officially established the first ever UAS geozones in Slovakia, fully compliant with European legislation, writes Nofal Kattan. Director of Military Aviation Authority, in a Linkedin post.

This is the first concrete and functional step toward a national and operational UTM system, according to the post and will ensure “safe, structured, and digitally coordinated integration of UAS even within complex military airspace while opening the door to homegrown innovation, industrial development, and stronger national defence.”
