The Royal Military Academy, Belgium (RMA) is looking for a Counter-Drone Researcher to join its Robotics & Autonomous Systems unit and play a key role in the EU-funded COURAGEOUS² project.
COURAGEOUS² is a policy-driven initiative aimed at supporting the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG-HOME) in implementing an EU-wide counter-drone strategy.
The successful applicant will work with international stakeholders including INTERPOL and numerous government ministries, national police departments and universities. They will lead large-scale test campaigns at critical infrastructure sites in Belgium, Greece, and Spain. The Researcher will also contribute to EU-wide standardisation and policy shaping.
The role is based in Brussels with travel across Europe. RMA is looking for candidates with a Master’s degree who are capable of operating in interdisciplinary environments and comfortable working at the interface between technical validation, regulatory frameworks and large-scale system evaluation campaigns.
