MyDefence C-UAS tech chosen for Australia’s LAND 156, launches drone threat library

MyDefence reports the selection of its advanced Counter-small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) technology for Australia’s Project LAND 156 Counter-Drone Systems program, in partnership with Precision Technic Defence.

Through Project LAND 156, the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is accelerating the acquisition of state of the art counter-drone technologies for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to keep Australian’s safe and protect military assets. Following testing, Project LND 156 will rapidly introduce a range of the the world’s most capable threat detectors and drone-defeating technologies into service by the ADF. As part of the project, MyDefence has partnered with Precision Technic Defence to supply counter technologies that are  mission-ready, designed to adapt to evolving threats, and proven to safeguard both personnel and critical assets under demanding conditions.

Through our established partnership, MyDefence and Precision Technic Defence have already delivered integrated solutions to Australian end-users, including wearable drone detection and jamming systems alongside 360° RF-based direction-finding units. The LAND 156 selection marks both a continuation and an expansion of these capabilities.

Meanwhile, MyDefence has also announced the launch of the Custom Drone Library, a capability that enables armed forces to create, own, and deploy their own drone intelligence at operational speed.

“The Custom Drone Library combines a pre-configured library of known drone threats with the ability for operators to capture and build new detectors themselves,” said the company in a press release. “Once a new drone is identified, detectors can be shared across deployed systems, giving entire forces the ability to recognize and counter hostile drones with greater speed and precision.

“Adversaries are constantly changing the rules of drone warfare. With the Custom Drone Library, our forces are no longer just reacting, but actively shaping the battlespace with intelligence they own, control, and can deploy across their entire network” said Dan Hermansen, CEO, MyDefence.

Custom Drone Library has been developed and proven through extensive field testing in collaboration with a NATO allied armed force, said the company, and demonstrated operational effectiveness under real conditions.
