The World Health Organisation (WHO) has joined the United Nations (UN) Unmanned Aviation Coordination Forum, bringing total membership to fourteen UN entities.
The Forum is dedicated to standardising and advancing uncrewed aerial system (UAS) operations across the UN system. It aims to enable better coordination of UAS frameworks among UN agencies.
“This joint effort supports the diverse mandates and missions of the UN, particularly in humanitarian aid, disaster response and the rule of law, ensuring uncrewed aviation is used safely, effectively, responsibly, and in alignment with global needs,” the organisation said.
