Red/Blue team exercise to test C-UAS for law enforcement

INTERPOL, the United States Border Patrol, Blue Light Digital and UAS Norway are hosting a multi-day drill designed to push counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) capabilities to the limit.

IDICE 2025 will be held in San Diego, California on 9-11 September. This is the second part of the programme, following an exercise in Seville, Spain in May, where the focus was on testing C-UAS against commercial off-the-shelf and custom-made UAS in complex urban environments.

The San Diego exercise will feature real-time drone threat simulations where participants will experience both the offensive and defensive aspects of modern C-UAS operations. A team of skilled drone operators will simulate various threats, from surveillance and smuggling to more complex challenges like swarm attacks and electronic warfare tactics. The defensive team will deploy the latest drone detection, identification and neutralisation technologies to protect critical infrastructure, public safety and law enforcement operations.

Scenarios will include urban drone threats, border security challenges, VIP and convoy protection, passive and active system deployments, and countering 4G drones.

Expert analysis and feedback will be provided on systems used and best practices.

Interested parties must register their interest by July 24.
