Spain’s AESA issues cybersecurity guidance to USSPs ahead of new EU regulation

Spain’s National Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) has developed a technical guide to help U-space and common information service providers implement European cybersecurity regulations (PART-IS). The Part-IS regulation will come into force on February 22, 2026. It requires aviation organisations and authorities to manage cybersecurity risks to protect aviation safety.

AESA has also developed and published guides for other air navigation providers, such as crewed air traffic management organisations.

The guidance for U-space and common information service providers includes an application form and the corresponding questionnaires for demonstrating compliance with the certification requirements.
