SkeyDrone will deploy its drone detection system to safeguard the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, taking place from 25 to 27 July 2025. As one of the most popular circuits on the calendar, tens of thousands of spectators, teams and media representatives will gather for the event, and SkeyDrone will work closely with event organisers and security teams to help ensure a safe and secure race weekend.
SkeyDrone’s drone detection system delivers real-time insights into drone activity, including the drone’s model, height, speed and location, as well as the drone pilot’s position. This enables rapid threat assessment and response, helping to prevent disruptions caused by unauthorised or malicious drone flights.
Given that a limited number of drones will be authorised to operate during the event, SkeyDrone’s whitelisting feature will enable the security team to distinguish between known operations and potential threats.
