The Italian Civil Aviation Authority, ENAC, has published the draft U-space regulation.
The regulation establishes the criteria for the designation of U-space airspace and its operation, ensuring an adequate level of safety and security, while respecting privacy and environmental protection. It complements the provisions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664 and defines the criteria for U-space monitoring, coordination and specific communication structures between relevant air traffic services units, U-space service providers and UAS operators, as well as the monitoring of U-space activities and billing procedures.
ENAC is inviting stakeholders to provide their contributions and comments, ensuring the broadest possible participation in the development of the regulatory text.
