Italy and UK sign declaration of intent on AAM, IAM and UAS harmonisation

The Italian Civil Aviation Authority – ENAC and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) signed a declaration of intent in London yesterday (February 12) to jointly develop advanced air mobility (AAM) and innovative air mobility (IAM). The agreement aims to strengthen technical and regulatory harmonisation and share expertise between the two authorities to promote the safe integration of new AAM, IAM and uncrewed aerial system (UAS) technologies.

Delegations from ENAC and CAA visited Wing’s UK Remote Operations Centre, where they were shown the London Health Bridge pilot project for the delivery of biomedical material via drones, with a flight simulation in a controlled environment of a UAS capable of carrying out multiple simultaneous operations.
