The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation after an Amazon delivery drone struck and severed an internet cable in central Texas on November 18 after delivering a package.
Amazon has confirmed the drone made a controlled contingency landing and no one was injured.
The incident comes just days after local media reported that Amazon was expanding its Prime Air delivery service in the state to include the San Antonio area.
It also follows the collision of two Amazon drone delivery drones with a crane in Tolleson, Arizona in October.
