In a Linkedin post, Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans) has announced that the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has granted dans the UAE’s first U-Space Service Provider (USSP) certificate.
“This milestone marks a new chapter for the UAE in safe and organised drone integration, urban air mobility, and the future of smart airspace management,” said dans in the post. “In collaboration with our strategic partners, we developed a comprehensive platform to manage unmanned aircraft traffic, enabling instant flight approvals, radar, weather, and aeronautical notification integration, and enhanced conflict detection — paving the way for a more innovative and efficient future in the UAE’s skies.”
