Compal Electronics and Thunder Tiger Technology have formed a strategic partnership to jointly develop a fully integrated communication module designed for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) uncrewed system applications.
The module integrates the technologies of both companies, combining 5G, 4G/LTE, satellite communications and radio frequency technologies. Using an AI algorithm, it is designed to automatically select the optimal network for low latency, high security (encrypted VPN technology) and stable connections. This enables reliable transmission of video, audio, telemetry and control signals in various terrains and over long distances, while also providing redundancy to prevent signal interruptions.
Thunder Tiger Technology focuses on the research and development of uncrewed aerial systems and other uncrewed systems, and has strict requirements for the stability and security of communication systems. The comp[any plans to incorporate Compal’s communication module technology that provides multi-network integration into its uncrewed vehicle products starting in 2026. The two parties will also collaborate to consolidate Taiwan’s position in the global uncrewed systems industry, provide key technical support for BVLOS applications, and promote industry development.
