Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is seeking feedback on a draft advisory circular that sets out guidance on airworthiness cybersecurity for remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS).
The guidance looks at aircraft level airworthiness cybersecurity, including airborne subsystems; ground subsystems that support flight, such as remote pilot stations or ground control stations; command and control (C2) links between theses stations and the remotely piloted aircraft; and supporting infrastructure needed to control the aircraft in flight.
It focuses on areas of safety such as flight controllers, sensors and actuators, surveillance and navigation equipment, C2 links and mission systems.
Feedback is invited via CASA’s consultation hub by December 5.
