BVLOS market ‘to reach USD 25.32 billion by 2030’

A new report by MarketsandMarkets says the beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) uncrewed aerial system (UAS) market is expected to grow from USD 15.36 billion in 2025 to USD 25.32 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 10.5%.

The consultancy firm says that the demand for BVLOS-capable uncrewed systems is rising globally as defence agencies, commercial operators and government bodies have increased the use of long-range UAS platforms across many mission requirements. “The <150 kg segment dominates the global BVLOS UAS market, driven by large-scale usage of lightweight unmanned platforms,” MarketsandMarkets says, noting particular demand for long-endurance and cost-effective platforms.

“The fully autonomous segment is expected to record the fastest growth rate from 2025 to 2030, driven by increasing integration of advanced navigation capabilities, automated flight management functions and onboard processing that enhances reliability during BVLOS operations,” the company says.

According to the report, North America is expected to hold the largest share of the global BVLOS UAS market throughout the forecast period, supported by steady demand across both government and commercial sectors.
