Airspace World 2025 – UK to host shared airspace UTM trial with ANRA, Wing and Manna

The UK will become the latest country to host a shared airspace UTM trial with an agreement between the UK Civil Aviation Authority, ANRA Technology, Wing, Manna and public safety agencies, according to an announcement by Amit Ganjoo of ANRA Technologies at today’s Airspace World event in Lisbon.

The announcement came during a panel discussion on the next steps in deployment of decentralised UAS traffic management (UTM) operations following the initial successful deployment of the inter-USS platform operation in Dallas, Texas. There are now ten applicants to develop interoperable UTM service provider operations in Texas and more iterations of the concept will be rolled out in North Carolina, New York and California, according to Wing’s Reinaldo Negron, while five UTM service providers are talking with Swiss regulator FOCA about providing a similar service in Zurich.
