Saint-Barthélemy airport, in Saint-Barth island, has installed a drone management and detection system developed by Air Space Drone.
“After Monaco, a pioneer in the field, integrating regulatory flight management and detection system, Saint-Barthélemy becomes the second territory to adopt a complete UTM solution with an administrative part with flight preparation and authorization and real-time detection of drones,” said the company in a press release.
“Air safety is now strengthened thanks to instantaneous detection of drones operating in the airspace…especially in the vicinity of sensitive approach and take-off paths thus offering a safer environment for all users: commercial flights, general aviation, rescue and drone operations…. Remote pilots benefit from centralised access to prepare their missions and obtain their flight authorisations, made available by the airport.”
