ADLC opens cargo drone hub

ADLC has announced the launch of an advanced air mobility (AAM) cargo drone hub at Eilandje Antwerp.

The hub is expected to transform how companies move time-critical goods between the city and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. After connecting industrial companies within the port, ADLC now intends to let businesses in the city also benefit through a two-way connection – port to city, city to port.

ADLC recently gained a Light UAS Operator Certificate from the Federal Public Service for Mobility and Transport. The certification includes a provision for dangerous goods transport (petrochemicals). As a result, the company will be able to self-authorise complex drone operations, including the development and deployment of new aerial transport routes and corridors.
