Qatar Civil Aviation Authority sets March 31 deadline for UTM system tender replies

UTM companies have until March 31 to submit proposals to the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) for a national UAS Traffic Management (UTM) System, first published last month.

According to the tender document introduction. “This project comes within the framework of enhancing drone air traffic management and ensuring the safety and efficiency of air operations in the country, especially given the increasing use of drones for various purposes. Providing a drone traffic management (UTM) system is a strategic necessity to achieve integration with traditional aircraft traffic management (ATM), thus ensuring the smooth flow of operations and the safety of Qatari airspace.”
