U-space service provider Innov’ATM has announced the closing of a EUR 5 million financing call to accelerate the national deployment of DroneMed®, its drone medical transport solution.
“This fundraising marks a decisive step to strengthen medical logistics in France and meet a need that has become central for hospitals and laboratories: to make the flow of medical products faster, more reliable and more sustainable,” said the company in a press statement.
“The transport of samples, samples or medical products between hospital sites or laboratories remains a critical link today, often slowed down by road constraints, the dispersion of sites or unforeseen emergencies. DroneMed® provides a concrete solution to these challenges by enabling fast, programmable and traffic-independent air links.
The objective: to improve lead times, reduce logistics costs and offer healthcare establishments new operational flexibility.
Innov’ATM is currently the only French operator certified U-Space Service Provider (USSP) by the DGAC.
“This recognition ensures that medical operations carried out with DroneMed® can be part of the European U-Space regulatory framework, which is an essential condition for operating drones over or near sensitive environments such as hospitals,” said the company.
