The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Tourism (MLIT) has opened applications for the Drone Delivery Hub Development Project. The notice states that the application period runs from May 15, 2025 to June 20, 2025.
The Ministry expects drone logistics to be a means of solving social problems in the region, such as maintaining logistics networks for daily necessities and medicines in remote islands and mountainous areas, and transporting supplies during disasters. “We are calling for
business proposals aimed at promoting the social implementation of drone logistics in the region, maintaining and securing the regional logistics network in peacetime, and securing alternative means of transportation to land transportation in the event of a disaster,” the notice said.
The project period is planned to run from the date of the grant decision to February 27, 2026.
